Anamorphic lenses
In this category, we present completely new and unique lenses designed for real film production - anamorphic lenses.
Anamorphic lenses are specifically designed to record a wide image onto a standard 4: 3 film frame (or digital sensor). At the same time, there is no need to crop or lose image quality. The process can be described as follows: these lenses, as it were, “squeeze” the real, wide picture to fit into the frame of the frame, and at the post-production it is stretched to produce a beautiful, rich, detail-rich wide-format image.
The peculiarity of anamorphic lenses lies in the structure of optics - an elliptical shape of the diaphragm is characteristic, which creates a vertically stretched image, a blurred background and soft, oval glare of bokeh. But also, they earned their recognition for optical imperfections and such things that, for example, are categorically not welcomed in photographic production as aberration, here, on the contrary, gain charm and create a unique artistic effect - oval-shaped blur discs, horizontal oval “hares”, rainbow highlights, veiling and distortion.
