In this category we have various modifications of lens light.
They make it possible to achieve sharply defined light, shadows and highlights on the subject.
Lens Fresnel was invented at the beginning of the 19th century by the French physicist Augustin Jean Fresnel. The usual flat-convex lens became flat and light, without losing its characteristic properties. The rays from a point source of light located in the focus of the lens are refracted and leave it almost parallel beam. It helps to get an even light with a feathered light spot border. Such lighting is optimal for pouring large flat surfaces. The lens does not crack when hot.
