ARRI Alexa Classic Plus is the first member of the Alexa camera family. A thoughtfully designed digital movie camera that has continued to evolve since its release in 2009. Provides incredible performance at an affordable cost.
ARRI ALEXA Classic Plus is a versatile 35mm ARRI Super Digital Digital Camera. The camera is designed for projects of various levels - commercials, music videos, series, full meter. ALEXA has a PL-type optical mount for standard 35mm movie lenses. The camera is fully integrated with existing professional movie accessories. The camera uses one 35 mm ALEV III CMOS sensor with a resolution of 3168x1782, aspect ratio 16: 9. Electronic shooter has an adjustment in the range 5.0° - 359.0°. The electronic camera viewfinder is based on the F-LCOS microdisplay with temperature stabilization and auto-calibration, resolution 1280x768. The optical elements are made of high quality glass, the mechanical components and the viewfinder body are reliable and durable. The viewfinder reproduces the image with high color accuracy, and just like optical viewfinders, it has the Overscan function, which allows you to see a frame of a larger area than it is fixed to the medium. This allows you to avoid errors and inaccuracies when shooting. The size of the image in the viewfinder of the Alexa camera is the same as in the viewfinder of the Arriflex 235 camera. The viewfinder is mounted on the side, as with conventional manual shooting, or at the back for greater convenience when working with the helm head. Uncompressed HD and ARRIRAW data is output via HD-SDI (single/dual link, standard BNC connectors) for recording to an external recorder. The output signal is guaranteed the highest quality and full band, because it is not subjected to prefiltration and spectrum limitation. The convenience and operational advantage of the ALEXA camera is that it can be used as a camcorder. An embedded SxS card writer system makes material instantly editable thanks to Apple ProRes built-in codecs.
