The T* anti-reflective coating and specially designed light traps inside the enclosure eliminate stray light and provide excellent image contrast.
14 aperture blades form a perfectly round hole at all T values, providing soft blurring of the background and beautiful “bunnies” from background light sources in the frame.
A long stroke (300°) and a large diameter of the focusing ring provide the most accurate and smooth focusing. The focus scale is calibrated so that you can focus without looking into the viewfinder.
The lens was created with a large margin of resolution, it is ready for 4K, 6K and the following recording formats. The highest quality manufacturing of Zeiss lenses guarantees you many years of trouble-free operation with this optics.
Carl Zeiss Compact Prime lenses cover a frame area of 24 x 36 mm, and therefore can be used with almost all the variety of photo, video and movie cameras. Thanks to interchangeable mounts, you will not be attached to any particular system: to replace the mount, you do not even need to give the lens to a service center, you can do it yourself. The uniqueness of the Carl Zeiss Compact Prime cinema lens system also lies in the fact that you have 3 zoom and 14 fixed focal lenses that cover focal lengths from 15 to 200 mm and are absolutely identical in color reproduction, i.e. not requiring labor-intensive color correction during installation. The resolution of the optics not only meets, but even exceeds the requirements of the 4K format and is ready for more.
