Wide-angle perspective over the entire focal length range
The wide-angle Sony Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS zoom lens has a focal length range of 16 mm to 35 mm and is equipped with effective built-in optical image stabilization. This makes the lens an ideal choice for instant shooting, indoor photography, group portraits, landscapes and more - especially when used with the α7 full-frame cameras. The ZEISS Vario-Tessar lens delivers powerful performance in a compact and lightweight housing.
Intelligent optical design for great shots
High clarity and minimal distortion are achieved thanks to the advanced optical design of the lens, which includes one large AA element and three elements of low dispersion glass (ED). The legendary ZEISS T* (T-star) coating further enhances optical performance, effectively suppressing glare and providing sharpness and natural contrast to images, which is especially important when shooting landscapes.
Constant exposure at any focal length
A constant aperture at all focal lengths means that the magnification factor can be changed without worrying about changes in exposure settings or depth of field, which allows you to focus on the artistic aspect of shooting, rather than on technical details. Maximum aperture is f/4 over the entire range of focal lengths.
Sharpness and sharpness over the entire frame
An optical design using aspherical lenses makes the lens as compact as possible without compromising image quality. The lens includes five aspherical elements (including one AA element, i.e. an advanced aspherical lens) and three elements of low dispersion glass (ED). This allows you to achieve breathtaking image accuracy in the transmission of details and colors.
Reliability and ease of use in all conditions
Reliable performance in a variety of conditions thanks to a rugged design that prevents dust and moisture from entering the lens.
