Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L I USM - one of the best in its characteristics of high-aperture, universal, full-time zoom lenses for film and SLR cameras Canon EOS.
This model replaces the very popular Canon EF 28-70 f/2.8 L I USM lens, produced since 1993.
In the optical scheme, there are 2 aspherical lenses and one lens made of glass with ultra-small dispersion, which positively affects color, contrast and minimization of aberrations. The pictures are very bright, rich in color, with good detail throughout the frame. There are quite noticeable drops of resolution in the corners of the frame at a wide angle.
Built-in updated ring-type ultrasonic motor (USM) makes focusing fast and silent. Focusing - internal, moves the rear lens unit. The transition to manual focusing is possible at any time by simply turning the focus ring.
The front part of the rim of the lens does not rotate when focusing, which facilitates the use of special attachments, as well as gradient and polarization filters.
The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L I USM lens has a very convenient set of focal lengths (from wide-angle to porter range) and is suitable for most types and genres of shooting, especially where speed is needed. Very good option for travel. Great for video on modern mirrors.
