NiSi Cinema Yellow Light Blocker (Natural Night) is designed to reduce light pollution in videos or images that include night sky and artificial light sources. Light pollution occurs when shooting the night sky, being above or near concentrated and intense sources of artificial light. These light sources may include indoor and outdoor lights for commercial or residential buildings, brightly lit advertisements, and sports and leisure facilities. In addition, artificial lighting, grouped together, can become difficult to distinguish individually. Light pollution from these “cluttered” sources can become a source of distraction in the image and may resemble overexposed areas of glare.
The NiSi Cinema Yellow Light Blocker (Natural Night) helps to improve night vision by blocking yellow light from sodium lamps, mercury lamps or LEDs with a low color rendering index, conventional light sources in urban areas. By preventing the dominant wavelengths of light, the visibility of astronomical objects is enhanced, and where they appear, artificial light sources are more clearly identified with less glare and improved contrast.
The Nisi 4 × 5.65 series is compatible with all compendiums of leading manufacturers that comply with the 4 × 5.65" standard. Filters are also 4 mm thick, which allows them to be integrated into filter holders that can hold rectangular filters 4 mm thick.
