Blackmagic MultiView 4 HD is the world's first solution for monitoring Ultra HD video from multiple SDI sources on a single HD or Ultra HD display. All inputs support full-frame resynchronization, allowing you to work simultaneously with SD, HD and Ultra HD on a single screen. When you connect an ultra-high definition TV, the image is formed of four segments, each of which is displayed in 1080 HD. Additionally, you can use the indication of sound level, window identifiers and other functions.
Multi-window monitoring mode
MultiView is ideal for use in large hardware, live production, on-set and in tight spaces. With this solution, you can do without a multitude of monitors, a dozen wires and additional power sources - just connect the cameras, decks, switchers and switches to the SDI connectors, after which all signals will be available for viewing on one HD or Ultra HD screen.
Any combination of SD, HD and Ultra HD signals
Each of the Blackmagic MultiView windows is an independent screen. All SDI inputs use full-frame resynchronization, which provides parallel processing of signals of any standards and frame frequency. Thanks to this, one solution replaces four or 16 monitors, allowing you to display on a single display image in NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080i and 1080p.
The best solution for simultaneous image output
MultiView supports working with HD. This ensures compatibility with existing HD equipment and at the same time allows for higher sharpness on an Ultra HD screen. Video in Ultra HD contains four times as many pixels as HD, so image quality will be significantly better than before. In a 2 × 2 configuration, all Ultra HD display windows are displayed without scaling with a resolution of 1920 × 1080. Thanks to the SDI and HDMI connectors, you can connect TVs, projectors, broadcast monitors and other equipment to the device.
Window IDs, Tally, and Sound Indicators
MultiView has several convenient functions to facilitate monitoring: Tally indication, display of sound levels and the ability to output audio from any source. On-screen window identifiers are elegantly designed and resize to fit the selected window configuration. Additionally, support for anamorphic format in SD resolution is provided, which allows you to view standard definition video with an aspect ratio of 16: 9 on a wide screen.
SD, HD and Ultra HD compatible
MultiView has an SDI interface with full resynchronization. Some models also have separate pass-through ports for compatibility with existing equipment. SDI inputs provide automatic detection of SD and HD. You can use the HDMI and SDI connectors to display the image.
The MultiView 4 HD has a rugged chassis and is perfect for on-site and dynamic live broadcasting. To start monitoring, just connect the signal sources. MultiView 4 supports HD and Ultra HD, and thanks to its compact size, the device is easy to place in a rack or on a table. Compatibility with an optional front panel and Ethernet port are provided to expand control capabilities.
Blackmagic MultiView 4 HD allows you to view four images on a single display. When there are more sources, it is enough to combine several solutions into a single chain. If you connect the output of one MultiView 4 device to the input of another, you can immediately display seven signals. The growth potential is unlimited, so you will always have the number of windows that the existing configuration requires.
