Glidecam X-10 is an advanced professional stabilization system designed to work with Glidecam 2000 Pro, 4000 Pro, HD-2000 and HD-4000. The main advantages of the X-10 is that the system completely removes the physical load from the operator’s hand, redistributing it to his damped mechanical arm and thus providing the operator with the opportunity to care exclusively about the quality of the shooting. To work with these stabilizers, no additional devices or adapters are required.
The Glidecam X-10 system isolates the movements of the operator’s body from the camera, which remains in a stationary balanced state during movement. The arm of the X-10 can work as an operator crane, up - down, inwards - outwards, side to side. It is the rotating and lifting abilities of the arm-lever that allow to achieve smooth shooting on the go.
The design of the Dyna-Elastic two-piece arm made from ultralight aluminum alloy contains 38 precision support bearings. They provide minimal friction during hand movements, which makes it possible to achieve high smoothness of hand movements both horizontally and vertically, almost silently. The voltage of the four expandable springs of high carbon alloy can be adjusted, depending on the weight of the camera used. One of the key features of a two-piece arm is the Light-Force technology embedded in it. This function, in the literal sense, allows the operator to work with the system, exerting little effort in any position of the hand, with any of its movements in the vertical and horizontal. It is Light-Force technology that gives the X-10 system all its stabilizing properties.
