Filters
In this category, modifications are presented that will be noticeable not only to photographers, but also to operators, videographers, and colorists - square filters for matte box and diopters.
Light filters are special nozzles on the camera lens that allow you to achieve a certain effect: cut off excess, give the image the right shade, soften the light and so on. Below are described the main and perhaps the most useful of the many modifications of square filters.
Light filters
- An ultraviolet filter/UV filter cuts off some sunlight.
- Haze filter eliminates haze caused by harsh UV radiation. A curious thing, especially for those who like to climb higher into the mountains, shoot from great distances and on black and white film.
- The polarizing filter removes glare and spurious reflections, so that your landscapes will always have rich colors, curly clouds and the seabed instead of bulls floating on the surface.
- A neutral gray filter/ND filter will help to control the amount of light entering the matrix, so you can widen the aperture and extend the shutter speed, but the color tone will not change. Just imagine how many likes you collect on cards with beautiful bokeh and blurred water flow...
Diopters I/BE Optics
Diopters in practice move both the near and far focal lengths of the lens closer to the matrix plane: on the one hand, the lens can focus closer than its original close focusing distance, but on the other hand, the far focus moves from infinity to a closer value.
